Real estate rocks

Jimmy Kuhn & Billy Mendelson of Newmark Knight Frank will be among a host of real estate executives taking to the stage for a Real Estate Rockers relief concert in aid of The Jewish Disaster Response Corps tomorrow night at The Canal Room.

The pair play in Square Feeet, a kind of brokers’ Guns n’ Roses that covers classic rock. Normal by Day (with Carl Schwartz of Herrick) and Midlife (with David Lowenfeld of the Worldwide Group ) will also perform, along with a line-up of some surprising musical guests from the world of real estate.

When Jodi Stasse furnishes model units at condo complexes across New Jersey, she follows a single rule: reflect the tastes of the average buyer, not the style of the building or the brand behind it. “People associate Trump with chandeliers,” said Stasse, whose boutique agency, Stasse and Company, began marketing Trump Plaza Residences, the tallest residential building in downtown Jersey City, two years ago.

High school renovation in class of its own

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce announced the Erasmus Hall High School renovation as the winner of the 2011 Building Brooklyn Award™ in the Historic Preservation category.

Stalco Construction served as general contractor and BJLJ Engineers & Architects, P.C. were the architect for the extensive restoration of the landmark school, which is frequently referred to as “The Mother of American High Schools.”
