Realty Foundation to honor JLL president Peter Riguardi
Peter Riguardi, president of operations for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tristate region, will be the guest of honor at the Realty Foundation of New York’s annual luncheon on May 10, 2012.
The luncheon commences at noon in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
A commercial real estate veteran with nearly 30 years in the industry, Riguardi joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2002 in order to expand the company’s platform.
He has been successful in growing the firm’s leasing and investment sales divisions by recruiting some of the City’s most talented professionals, many from competing firms.
Presently, he oversees a 1,700-strong staff in seven offices throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
During his near three-decade career, Riguardi has been involved in some of the City’s largest transactions, among them the MTA’s 1.6 million square feet transaction at 2 Broadway, Bank of America’s 1.5 million square feet transaction at One Bryant Park and MetLife’s 410,000 s/f lease at 1095 Avenue of the Americas.
“Peter has served as a dedicated board member and we are delighted to be honoring him this year,” said Jerry L. Cohen, the Foundation’s chairman.
“He is committed to the goals of the Foundation and has helped to communicate our message that our purpose is to help real estate professionals in need. Totally reliant on the generosity of our real estate community, the Realty Foundation is grateful for his efforts to raise awareness of our initiatives.”
The Foundation was founded in 1954 by a group of passionate real estate professionals that were concerned about the financial risks facing the brokerage community.
Membership includes 75 of the real estate community’s most prominent members. Chairman Jerry L. Cohen and president H. Dale Hemmerdinger lead the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Since its inception, it has disbursed over $6.85 million in financial aid scholarship awards.
