CHICKPEA, a health conscience Mediterranean concept restaurant chain, which co-brands with RED MANGO has just signed 10 year lease valued at $2.4 million for a new store at 63 West 14th Street.
This is Chickpea’s 11th store in the New York City area.
They were represented by Rose Retail Realty Group, Inc. with the landlord, Duell Management, representing itself in the transaction.

Brause Realty has handed Transwestern its first exclusive leasing assignment in New York City.
Transwestern’s Lindsay Ornstein, John Grotto, Aaron Kaufman and Debra Larsen will serve as the leasing team for 254 West 31st Street, which is currently being repositioned by Brause.

Ground was broken on the first two residential buildings of the Hunter’s Point South development on the Queens waterfront this week.

Two Trees management this week unveiled ambitious new plans for the former Domino Sugar site in Williamsburg that include cube-shaped and “porous” buildings that the architects say will allow light and air to pour through the 24/7 community.
The overhauled design for the waterfront property would be greener and include more than half a million square feet of office space, 2284 apartments, retail and 228,000 s/f of open space.

Sabre Real Estate Group LLC, the metropolitan region’s newest retail brokerage, has arranged a lease in Commack, N.Y. for Savers, the largest privately held thrift-store chain in North America.
Savers, based in Bellevue, Wash., will occupy the 19,000 s/f, freestanding retail site at 755 Larkfield Rd., formerly occupied by Sixth Avenue Electronics. An opening date has not been announced.

Arranged by retail broker Gregg Carlin of CBRE’s Long Island office, the transaction has sparked renewed interest in the center by a number of major retailers.
