The Gay Men’s Health Crisis is said to be considering a roughly 150,000 square foot lease at 200 Hudson Street according to sources.
The non-profit, an advocacy group and HIV/AIDS services organization, is currently located at 119 West 24th Street.
The group is working with a brokerage team from the real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, let by C&W’s former chief executive Arthur Mirante, to find a new space.
A person familiar with the potential deal at 200 Hudson Street said that the building had a number of attractive features, including a separate entrance on Vestry Street that could allow the GMHC to provide a different point of entry for certain facilities it would like to partition from its office functions, such as a cafeteria facility for visitors.
