A new Long Island City condo dubbed a “glowing glass sculpture,” will give Manhattanites a skyline view like never before.
Named after a glassblowing haven off the coast of Venice, Italy, the Murano condominium will radiate different colors at different times of the day.
The colors emitted from a section of LED screen lights located between the seventh and eight floors of the building will be visible from Long Island City all the way to Manhattan.
Inside the 11-story building - which officially opens for sales June 6 – will be a lobby wall that features a display of varied colors through bright LED lighting.
Developers Group, New Development Division of The Real Estate Group NY, is the exclusive sales and marketing firm for the building at 519Borden Avenue
CEO Andrew Barrocas said the all-glass building is the ultimate in modern design, well-appointed amenities, and eco-conscious features offering a fresh concept in “kinetic architecture.”
“Between the creative exterior design and its location on the East River, Murano will be a residential development that Long Island City has never seen before,” said Barrocas.
The building features 76 units with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and some with private outdoor balconies or terraces. Four duplex penthouses will offer double-height ceilings and access to a private roof terrace.
Homes range from 675 to 1,558 s/f and are priced from $459,000. The building is awaiting FHA approval and is eligible for a 15-year tax abatement.
